Handiwork

By Suzanne Marie Punch

Handiwork, in Greek, is poiema; which we refer to as a poem. Also meaning a masterpiece, well-designed, beautifully, like a song. In Psalm 143:5, from the Holy Bible, poiema refers to God’s remarkable works of creation and redemption.

“I remember the days of old, I meditate on all that works, I’m used on the work of the hands.” -Psalm 143:5

Poetry is whatever you want it to be. Poetry can be anything and it can be everything. Graffiti can be a poem, even if the person didn’t mean it to be. You will know what poem when you see it or say it.

Songs we listen to all start out as just poetry. The words added with the music, this we now have is a song. They are messages someone has introduced. And 1 km can’t even have different meanings, depending on the writer and the reader.

“I’m an empath. I’m not psychic, I don’t rea”d minds. But let’s just say I know a lot more about you than you think is possible.”

I write a lot of poetry to release my emotions and energy. I’m very emotional. This allows me to heal myself without lashing out on others who didn’t cause my emotion. In other words, to prevent me from bleeding on the ones who didn’t cut me. This therapy helps me. It has made me see life…
