Set My Children Free

Let my children be with me

By Zaina Starr

Oh, how I always wanted children, my life dream, that I couldn’t have soon enough.

Two daughters and one son, have a blessed I was as a young mother.

All three beautiful and intelligent with fun, loving personalities.

How a my daily task was to care for them, then, if there was time, care for myself, and then, my love.

The worst death I had to experience, my own death, and still being alive to live through it every day.

If my life didn’t have my three beauties, then that wasn’t life for me, that was torture and death, eternity in hell.

My spirit broke everyday, missing them, close to me, caring for them, making sure that their needs were met the right way, and the ability to hold them, or even just to touch them.

I missed watching them sleep but, the trips to the park, and to lake salinda to feed the ducks.

How they will never know I used to be a good mother, probably one of the best mothers!
