Why Save Your Enemies

--

By Zaina Starr

Why do you try and save him? Him, my abuser. The one person who’s mission was to have control over me, my body, my soul. Day in and day out he physically and mentally abused me. When he wasn’t abusing me, he was telling me every nice thing I needed to hear for me to keep close to him. I was that person who he had always available; the one he could take his anger out on and I understood his cries for help enough to not leave. I gave up sitting in the light and sat with him in the dark.

Being in the dark was scary for me, but when you have God in your life to guide you, the test is manageable and can be passed. Just like i the bible, it talks about when we walk in the shadow of death, if we have faith that God’s on our side, then have no fear, he will get us through it. And that is exactly what he does.

Loving someone to want the best for them even after they’ve done the evilest things to you, that’s a mother’s love. A mama’s boy. The ones that raise flags. The ones who despise women. Narcissist. And for someone to love one back is true love. That’s God’s love. Showing someone how real love is supposed to be, may be the only real love they’ve ever been shown.

Mental illness or learning negative ways form their parents is not the abusers fault. They need our help. Empaths. We become their victim to help them. We still love them when most people shouldn’t or wouldn’t. That will allow that person to see the true greatness of God. That’s God working in their lives through you.

Play your part, God’s angel, promote the healing in their life. Pray for your enemies and show them the way; guidance.
